MIAMI BEACH — Aug. 14, 2002 — When Network+Interop and COMDEX Atlanta 2002 opens on September 9, the massive network that runs the show will have been built in part by staff from Vulcan Logic. Vulcan Logic has been invited by the show’s organizers to join the InteropNet Team responsible for deploying the state-of-the-art network inside the Georgia World Congress Center.

NetWorld+Interop is the largest networking industry event in the world, where IT and service provider professionals benefit from the many opportunities to gain expert knowledge in the hottest areas of IT and networking technologies. This year’s show also marks the return of COMDEX to Atlanta.

The crowning feature of the exposition is the 12,000-node InteropNet Event Network (eNet). Built in just four days, this temporary network is the largest of its kind and is equipped to handle the dynamic tradeshow environment, with a fully redundant and reliable high-speed network to every part of NetWorld+Interop and COMDEX.

The eNet is built in collaboration with hand-selected, leading networking vendors and puts their products through the test of the ultimate networking challenge. It offers reliable, high-speed network services to all NetWorld+Interop and COMDEX exhibitors, conferences, meeting rooms and attendee messaging centers.

The eNet is implemented by a group of talented engineers from the tech sector. Many of these engineers volunteer their time to gain valuable first-hand experience in designing, installing, troubleshooting and operating a world-class state-of-the-art network. Throughout the InteropNet’s 16-year history, it has owed many thanks to the ever-growing resourceful community of expert network engineers.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for us,” said Charles Lavin, Vulcan Logic’s founder and president. “It gives us a chance to work with cutting-edge equipment and software, alongside some of the industry’s brightest engineers. The educational benefits afforded to Vulcan Logic by the eNet deployment and the conference itself are invaluable to a company our size. We’ll be able to use this new knowledge and experience to better serve our clients back home. We’re looking forward to the challenge, and are grateful for the opportunity.”

Networld+Interop and COMDEX Atlanta 2002 will be held September 9-13 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. More information about the exhibition can be found on the show’s Web site.
